Travellers Guide to Ancient Egypt

Series 1
Start Date: 25th of September 2006 for 10 weeks
Monday Evenings 7.00pm - 9.00pm
Course Tutor: Robert Scott M.A.

An ideal introductory course for learners considering visiting the ancient Egyptian pyramids of Egypt, located outside Cairo, North Africa. Each week we will explore the major pyramid complexes of the Old Kingdom and build a portfolio work book, which can be used to visit the sites in Egypt.

The Travellers Guide to Cairo Egypt

A hands-on course for the complete beginner.

Series 2
Start Date: 15th of January 2007 for 10 weeks
Monday Evenings 7.00pm - 9.00pm
Course Tutor: Robert Scott M.A.

An introductory course to the temples & tombs of the New Kingdom located in Luxor Egypt. We will explore the treasures of the golden age of the New Kingdom, building a portfolio work book which can be used to visit the sites of Luxor.

Themes which will be covered include;

Golden Age of the New Kingdom Egypt
A Travellers Guide to Luxor Egypt

Aims of the Courses
Series 1 & 2 enables the learner to travel to Egypt in order to visit the archaeology sites discussed within the 10 week workshops in each series. By studying the sites before visiting Egypt the learner will develop an insight into what the sites actually mean and what happened at the sites in antiquity.
