How old is Ancient Egypt?
5,102 years old - from 3,100 B.C. to A.D. 2002
Using a time-line from 2002 A.D. that represents the time span of 2002 years since the death of Christ, we move further into the B.C. time line of Ancient Egypt. Dating the Ancient Egyptian civilisation at 3,100 B.C. representing the time of the first king to unite Egypt into one nation, sets a date of 3,100 B.C. So from to days date to the beginning of a united nation, governed by one King we have a journey back in time of 5,102 years ago.
The Egyptians ruled themselves from 3,100 B.C. until 1070 B.C. from 1070 B.C. 641 A.D. the Egyptians were ruled by foreign kings.
From 642 A.D. to date Egypt was invaded and governed by the First Arab invasion (building of palaces and Fortresses and the founding of Cairo), Second Arab Conquest, led by Saladin (introduction of Islam), rule from the Ottoman Empire and the eventual nationalisation of Egypt by Nasser in the 1950s.
