Andrea's workshop is the result of the many years he has invested into the teaching and research of the armed and unarmed system of the "Old School" of Italian combat, in particularly before and up to the mid 17th Century.

"The Old School" is Andrea's definition that describes the system of body mechanic that evolved over centuries, that became the foundation for the fighter in Italy, giving them the skill set to apply themselves to the many situations they may find themselves in, armed or unarmed.

SRS CHANGE OF NAME

The Sussex Rapier School has been practicing many sword forms for a number years now and it has been decided by the Instructors to rename the School The Sussex Sword Academy to reflect more clearly what the SRS has become. Due to the fact that the SRS is well know in the European Martial Arts community we will introduce this change over time until we feel the new name has become well and truly established.
